Terms of use

Mail Attachment Archive is a local utility for creating and verifying attachment archives from mail exports you control.

Your responsibility

You must have the right to process the mail you import. Keep an independent copy of the source MBOX until you have inspected the report and restored a sample of important files. Malware-bearing attachments are stored inert, but remain potentially harmful if restored and opened.

No silent promises

The app reports parsing and checksum failures; it cannot recover bytes that are absent from the source export. “Resolved” means the decoded bytes were stored locally and matched their recorded SHA-256 checksum, not that the file content is safe or semantically complete.

Archive Plus purchase

Archive Plus costs US $29 as a one-time purchase and adds saved workspace conveniences and lifetime Plus updates. Core importing, deduplication, encryption, restoration, and reports are free. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles payment and refunds. A refunded or fraudulent purchase revokes its license.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided “as is,” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for lost source mail, forgotten encryption passphrases, malware in imported files, or indirect damages. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be limited.

Open-source components

The application source is distributed under the MIT License. Third-party components retain their respective licenses.
